Green Eggs & Ham

Caught on film!!! I'm eating SPAM, eggs, and rice just before dawn in the tribes. (can you tell I'm not a morning person?) At least we have a hot cup of tribal coffee! 

Trecking

Backpacking up to the tribes...It rained our entire trip, but the cool weather was so refreshing. The clean mountain air cleared up my lungs! 

It's beginning to look like Christmas

That's the new piano I bought after being forced to lead worship with a guitar (and the answer is NO, I don't play guitar). My roommates bought the little 5 foot tree and it looks pretty cute if I do say so myself. 

Thanksgiving

 

Thanksgiving!

Leah transformed our garage into a beautiful banquet hall for our American thanksgiving celebration. We had REAL, ACTUAL, MOIST turkey (haven't had that in a year!)

Retreat Center

Pine Trees!!!! Yes, even in this tropical country we could drive an hour and get to a cute little retreat center with cool breezes and pine trees. Not only was the teaching and worship great...it was so nice to have a quiet place to rest and pray. (That's real grass too) Ahhhh....We also had lukewarm showers!!! (Just a step above the cold at my appartment) 

Starbucks

This amazing view was from the Starbucks overlooking the volcano...a great little resting spot while we were on our retreat this week. We justified one trip by walking there from the retreat center (about 45 minutes)
